God's Gypsy Christian Church

The Statement of Faith of The G.G.C.C.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations..."

The Inspired Word of God

The Holy Bible is the Inspired Word of God. The 66 Books are God breathed from Genesis to Revelation. The Bible, is both inspired and Infallible (without error).

(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21.)

The Bible alone, Is the final authority in the Church and the life of the believer.

(Matthew 24:35; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Thess 2:13; Ps 119:9-11.)

God's plan of Salvation is clearly revealed in the Bible. The Inspired Word of God produces faith to the hearer Romans 10:17 and has the authority to Teach, Correct, Rebuke, and Train for Holy Living. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

There is no adding to the Bible, there are no new Revelations that are equal or above the Bible. The Cannon of Scripture is closed.

(Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:18-19.)

Salvation

To be delivered from the penalty of original sin and its consequence; which is eternity in Hell.

(Gen, 2:17, Gen 3:6; John 1:29; Gal 3:13; John 5:24; Romans 6:23.)

Since the fall of Adam, man is born spiritually dead (Separated) from God, in a sinful state, and is in need of a Savior.

(Gen 3, Rom 5:12-19, Rom 3:10, Rom 3:23, Rom 6:23, Eph 2:1.)

Salvation is the work of the Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together in perfect unity in the redemption of man. This was accomplished at the cross.

Saving grace is available to all mankind who confess, and believe by faith that Jesus is Lord.

(Titus 3:5-6; John 3:16; 1 Cor 6:11; Eph 2:8-9; 1 Cor 2:2; Rom 10:9-10.)

Apostasy (Departing from the Faith)

The Bible is clear in its warning about the fact that a believer can depart from the faith. This is done through the process of willful sin, and constant rebellion against the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. This type of conduct will lead to a hardening of the heart according to Hebrews 3:12-14 (read below).

This can lead to Apostasy (To depart from the Faith).

(Gal 5:4; Rom 11:20-22; 1 Tim 4:1-2; 2 Peter 2:20-22.)

Hebrews 3:12-14 KJV

"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;"

The Trinity

The Trinity is not the belief in three separate gods but the belief in the One True God. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit are coeternal, coequal, and coexistent. The Godhead consist of three Persons that work together in perfect unity.

Each Person of the Trinity were not created but have always existed eternally.

(Matthew 28:19; John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 3:16-17; Acts 7:55-56; 1st John 5:7.)

The Deity of Jesus Christ

Jesus is truly God, and truly man; The second member of the Trinity. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. He always existed with The Father and The Holy Spirit.

(John 1:1-5; Matthew 1:23; Matthew 28:19; John 3:16.)

Jesus was conceived when the Holy Spirit overshadowed the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, He was tempted in all ways, yet without sin.

(Luke 1:31-35; Matthew 4:1-11; Hebrews 4:15; Gal 4:4.)

The blood of Jesus was shed to make atonement for all mankind. Jesus had to suffer and die on the cross in order to reconcile man to God.

(John 19; Colossians 1:20; Hebrews 9:12; Romans 5:8-11.)

Three days later Jesus resurrected from the dead and conquered sin and death. Man now has access to God, and can receive eternal life.

(Mark 16:1-6; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 5:2; Romans 10:9-10.)

Jesus has ascended to Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father, making intercession for all believers.

(Acts 1:9-11; Mark 16:19; Hebrews 7:25.)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a separate event that takes place after Salvation. The Biblical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. The purpose of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is to help the believer in service, prayer, worship, and witness.

(Acts 1:8, 2:4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46, 19:1-7, 4:31, 6:3, 2:46-47.)

Spiritual Gifts

The Gifts of the Spirit are still available for today. All The Gifts that are described in the New Testament continue and have not ceased. These gifts are essential for the building up of the Church.

All believers can receive, and should desire the gifts of the Spirit. These gifts are given as the Spirit wills.

(Romans 12:6-8; 1 Cor 12, 13, and 14; Eph 4:11-12; 1 Peter 4:10-11.)

Divine Healing

Divine healing is when a person is healed by God instantaneously, in a miraculous way, that can not be explained in a medical sense.

Divine healing was made available through the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross. The believer should pray in faith, and believe that God will heal the sick person.

(Isa 53:4; Matt 8:16-17; Luke 8:44-48; Acts 3:7; James 5:14-16.)

Church Ordinances

Water Baptism

Water baptism is directed by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:19. Jesus commands that all who believe be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is to be done by full immersion, after the person confesses faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Acts 8:12, 8:36.)

Communion (The Lord's Table)

Communion is the practice of believers partaking of bread and the fruit of the vine (juice) which is symbolic of the Body and Blood of Christ.

"The New Covenant." This is a direct command of the Lord Jesus. It is to be done in remembrance of His life, death, and resurrection. And is to be practiced until His return.

(Matt 26:26-29; 1 Cor 11:23-26; Acts 2:41-44.)

End Time Events

Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church

All Believers shall be caught up (raptured) to meet the Lord Jesus in the air, prior to the seven year Tribulation period, which is a time of God's wrath upon the Earth.

(1 Thess 4:13-18; 1 Thess 1:10; Rev 3:10.)

The Second Coming of The Lord Jesus Christ

Christ's return to the earth shall take place at the end of the seven year Tribulation period. Christ will Judge and make war against the Antichrist, his armies, and those who worshiped him. This is known as the battle of Armageddon.

Rev 19:1-21

The Millennial (1000 years) Reign of Christ

After the Tribulation period, Christ will Reign (to rule as King) over all the earth, for a literal 1000 years.

Rev 20:4-6

The Final Judgement

The Great White Throne Judgement shall take place after the Millennium (1000 years). This judgement is for all who are not found written in the Lambs book of life, this is God's final judgement of sin. All people at this judgement will be cast into the lake of fire, they shall join Satan, the Antichrist and the false prophet for eternity. This is known as the second death.

Rev 20:7-15

New Heaven And New Earth

The New Jerusalem which comes down from Heaven is the final dwelling place for the people of God for all eternity.

Rev 21, Rev 22.
